why the title u ask? We had a patient at ER-Ward @ East Ave Medical and take note it was a government hospital but he was sporting a navigator and upto this date I still have no idea why the hell he was in that god-forsaken hospital kung may kaya naman pala siya. anyway, while my groupmates and I were talking to him we found out that he had a girlfriend before na Paulinian and that he used to wait at Guerrero, in front of the "ice cream parlor" (sabi nya un... Milku to us) around 3 years ago. "Paulinians in their uniform, you know
that checkered thing with long sleeves, cute nga eh," he added. If you could only see our faces, tawang tawa talaga kame. Mas maarte pa sya samin lahat! That happened last week and till now it still makes my tummy hurt when I remember that incident.
Oh yeah, I started my elective (specialization in more common terms) already last Nov. 13! I got Medical-Surgical which is my first choice but I got assigned at ER-ward at EAMC. Not that I don't like it there, I looooove Ms. Dimalibot, my C.I., and all but the cases there are sooooo common and soooooo easy to intervene with. Para bang, wala na bang bago? Damn buti pa sa 5North, though you have to sacrifice and really study a lot atleast the cases are sooooo varied that you get to learn so much. *Sigh.
Plus, pagod na talaga ako! I have classes na nga ng Mon-Sun (literally as in 8 hours a day), I have so many requirements pa like our research (thesis)! I'm emotionally and physically drained already but I know that I can't stop. Not now when I'm about to graduate already by March! Come to think of it, I'm so near yet so far!!! Like being excited and anxious at the same time. Nobody said Nursing was easy and most of all, it's never easy at St. Paul Manila. It's just like what Ms. Dator always tells us, "Ladies, act as if your nurses-to-be from a Level III PAASCU-accredited school!" My point sya.
Last year I celebrated both Valentines (ok lang wala naman akong boyfriend nun...haha!) and my birthday at NCMH, or ospital ng mga baliw, yeas it's the one in Mandaluyong. I wasn't a patient there to make it clear, I was just assigned there for my duty. anyway, Guess what? on my 21st (@#$% tanda ko na!) Grand Case Pres naman! Actually may case presentation ako ng Feb. 19, 21, 23, and 25...wow! thanks for the one day in between leeway ha! Emcee pa ko sa Reseach Forum na inter-college! Assigned din ako to make the friggin class prophecy for our Pinning Ceremony! Di ko alam if dapat pa kong ma-flatter kasi my batchmates appreciate my English and PR skills (iba na talaga pag magaling! haha!) or dapat ko na silang pagsasapakin eh. Define T-O-X-I-C.
